Barracks: To the left of the door, on the wall, is a framed display showing construction details. Each room in the barracks had a fireplace — the only source of heat for the soldiers. To the right of the fireplace, you can see small, slit windows. These small openings provided some safety while allowing soldiers to fire their rifles in case of attack.
