Northern Parade Grounds: Each barracks was roughly 20 feet wide. The porches and interior floors were wooden planks. The walls were built from logs that were lime-pointed. All of the logs were harvested from the timber along the bottom land near the river. This lumber was also used for heating. The east barracks were not re-constructed.
